McKenzie Jumping Into Lake
I know I used to do things like this as a child and I survived. Still, as a parent, I was very nervous as I watched my daughter jump down into the lake on our summer vacation. I held my breath the whole time I watched her, and breathed a sigh of relief when her head emerged. How about you? Did you do crazy fun things like this when you were a kid too?
Union Station, Toronto
This summer we drove to Toronto to visit my cousin. It was a great trip. his new house is real nice. We went right downtown and there is so much to see and do there. Plus we drove out of town to see Lake Superior. It is so big! I love the ceiling at Union Station.
Absorbing Mushroom for Mario Kart
I am behind the times, especially when it comes to games. To me a game is a board game. My kids just laugh at my ignorance. My nephew showed me this mushroom thingy and then launched into a long explanation of Mario Kart and the absorbing blue mushroom. That lead to even longer explanations about other Mario Kart items…. I tried not to look bored, really I did!
Elephant at the Zoo
Do you like zoos? I like them more now that I am a Dad. But I have not always liked them. the animals don’t have enough space. But zoos are getting better about that these days. Here is a great shot of an elephant taken by my son with my new camera. he did a good job, don’t you think?
Amazing Cloud
Are you a cloudwatcher like I am? I am content to lie on my back in the yard on a summery day and watch the clouds roll by, looking for interesting shapes. My kids like doing this with me. Look at this photo I shot at my newphew’s football game. Unbelievable cloud formation.
Old Cards and New Cards
Playing cards is a great source of amusement. I can really get lost in a card game. I forget where I am and am focused intently on strategy. It is a great escape from the troubles of life. Similar to reading a book or watching a movie. What’s your favorite card game?
Cicada - I think...
My kids hate these darn cicadas and I have to admit I do, too. I get shivers when I look at this photo my wife took. Even the chance to use a digital camera would not get either of my kids to get close to this thing.
Our Best Sandcastle Summer of 2003

Fall is my favorite season for many reasons. I love the crisp air and colorful leaves. I love watching all the children returning to school after sun drenched summer days.

Hey everybody and welcome to my blog. everyone keeps telling me i need to have a blog so here is mine. Do you like my theme? I found it myself. It was not easy trying to figure out how to change the theme but I finally had success. The default theme sure is ugly. this one is much better.
